Help with school fees
If you are struggling financially, then you can apply for free meals, clothes and transport for your child. If you are aged 16 to 19-years-old, you can also get financial support to stay on in full time education.
Childcare costs
Find support for children from 2 to 5 years or if you're struggling with the cost of being pregnant.
If you're pregnant or looking after a child
You may be able to get payments that help towards the costs of being pregnant or looking after a child from it being a baby to early learning and school age.
Tax-free Childcare
You could get money every 3 months for each of your children to help with the costs of childcare.
Claim back childcare costs
If you pay for childcare while you go to work, Universal Credit can pay some of your childcare costs.
Claim Child Benefit
You can claim Child Benefit if you're responsible for bringing up a child who is under 16 or under 20 if they stay in approved education or training.
Childcare costs if you are a student
All students may apply for assistance with registered childcare costs regardless of whether you are studying on a full-time or part-time basis.

The team aims to provide consistent, short-term support to families to help deal with any difficulties. They do this by looking at building resilience, offering advice and practical help.
