In 2021 the Community Planning Partnership Board established a Poverty and Inequalities Partnership, comprising a number of organisations including public sector, third sector and individuals.

Our aim is to progress local work to address some of the challenges people are facing due to the increases in the cost of living.

This website has been developed by partners to help those in need easily find information on the support available.

Cost of living increases

Prices of most goods have risen; food costs more. Petrol/diesel is fluctuating dramatically and domestic fuel bills are rocketing. People have less money as their disposable income is being eroded.

This issue is not only affecting low-income families but also everyone living and working in Dumfries and Galloway, with many being unaware of what help and support is available to them.

This is not just a challenge for Dumfries and Galloway, it affects people across Scotland, UK-wide and throughout the world.

We have created this website as a one-stop shop for our local residents to access a wide range of information, help and advice to ensure they get the support they need to help them through this challenging time.
